Imagine if, instead of just feeling the surface of your touchscreen you could experience smooth or rough textures? That’s exactly what Toshiba is proposing for their new smartphones as well as other equipment of the kind.



The system, developed by a research company called Senseg, contains a film which emits electric signals to emulate different sensations of texture such as wood, stone or even sponge. In an automobile where the driver may at some point take his or her eyes off the road, this type of sensibility could really help when using the infotainment commands.
