Displax, from Portugal has recently created a film capable of making any surface sensitive to the touch.



The film is completely transparent and can be applied to any type of surface of up to 3 meters in diameter. Its multi-touch capacity can receive up to 16 simultaneous touches, which makes it ideal for multi-user applications, where several people control different aspects of one interface. Furthermore, the Displax film is the only one capable of detecting air flow: just blow on the surface and it detects the direction and the intensity of the flow. What other crazy applications will come up with this new technology, we wonder?
