His company, Virgin Group, ordered the manufacturing of the Necker Nymph for a modest price of 660 thousand dollars. The Necker Nymph is like a submarine with airplane characteristics, which uses a joystick and flippers to orient itself in the three dimensions of the water. For now the cockpit is opened, with deflectors which divert the pressure of the currents. Its maximum depth potential is 40 meters, enough for the future tourists to go around the paradise island of Necker in the Caribbean, property of Sir Branson himself, together with the whales, the dolphins and corals.

The idea is to offer, for 25 thousand dollars, the Necker Nymph for seven days. However, the attraction is part of a package for the accommodations on the island and the catamaran Necker Belle, which already comes with a price tag of 88 thousand dollars. The total price would come to a mere 113 thousand dollars. In the future, the mega-businessman wants to create a closed version with a pressurized cabin able to go down to a depth of 10 thousand meters. Let’s hope the price tag does not reach the same scale!
