Some cars are impressive in their performance, others their luxury, and others for their design. Falling into this last category, there is one electric car which is impressive, not for its beauty but more for its ugliness.

Lampo2

The Lampo EV was an electric Concept Car presented by Protoscar in 2009, with the ambition of becoming a sports car with a motor up to par: two water-cooled Brusa electric motors, each connected to two axes, producing a total horse power of 268. The 16 kilowatt set of batteries gives an autonomy of 200Km each.

However, Protoscar was not satisfied with prototype mentioned above, and produced the ugly version seen in the first picture: the LAMPO² uses the same mechanics but its appearance looks more like a fish with thyroid problems. Despite being so ugly, the LAMPO² is a respectable electric sports car: its quick recharge gives half of the total autonomy in the first ten minutes of recharge and according to Protoscar, its solar energy plant located in Seggiano Italy, will produce clean energy to compensate for the consumption of its super sports car.
